This cool feature is a four in one.
(You’ll first need to allow access by →Apple → System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Find screen recording → click on the Lock icon at bottom left of screen, enter your password and click allow)
When in Video mode, you'll be able to record yourself alongside the Camera's microphone.
To get started press the red circle button and a 5 second countdown timer will appear. Once it hits 0 the recording will commence.
After you are done click on the white square to stop recording and QuickTime Player will appear with your newly recorded video. From there you can name the video and save it.
When in screen mode this will allow you to record your screen and use the camera's microphone. Start by clicking the red button. A 5 second countdown timer will begin. Once it hits 0 seconds the recording will commence.
You will know you are recording once you see this timer counting up on the top right of your Apple device:
You may stop the recording at any time by pressing the square. Once pressed QuickTime Player will open up with your video to where you may name the screen recorded video and save it.
In Both you may record your screen with audio and your self at the same time. To get started press the red circle button and a 5 second countdown timer will appear. In that time you will see a square with your camera feed pop up. At anytime you can click and drag the box to move it anywhere on the screen. Once it hits 0 the recording will commence.
In Loop mode you can record a short video of yourself to play over and over in a loop. This can be helpful when you are in a meeting and need to use the washroom.
Once you record your short video it will begin to play and you'll know it's working when you see the red square. To stop the loop you would press the arrows.
